Khaos Engine by D.R.Linton

I was requested to read this piece and was pleasantly surprised. The world he has created in this masterful scifi novel had me feeling like I was right there, watching the characters come to life. I could close my eyes and imagine the kind of technologically advanced society he had set for the book. I love how the perspective of the story switches from time to time allowing me to see things from more than one angle or viewpoint. The mystery surrounding Lloyd - the scene of his dematerialization was utterly riveting; expressed with captivating and flawless precision. I read the first two chapters for the purpose of this review - and I will absolutely be reading more. If you are interested in scifi and want something new and spectacular to read, then look no further! https://www.booksie.com/519154-khaos-engine-chapter-1-version-1

The Things He Shattered by Criss Sole

This one is very close to my heart - a good friend of mine wrote it. It is a long story but well worth the read - I hung onto every word. It is the story of a beautiful young woman who had her whole life ahead of her when it was suddenly stolen from her by the hands of a power-hungry cop. The officer walked away with no charges - after making Cris' life a living hell, threatening/intimidating her friends (who were witnesses) that if they came forward then they would suffer greatly. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone. If you like true stories that grab hold of your heart then this one if definitely for you. Make sure you have a box of tissues handy! Heidi. :-) https://www.booksie.com/posting/criss-sole/the-things-he-shattered-298540

A short story titled When Muses Die by Oleg Roschin

I am never left feeling disappointed with any writing by Oleg Roschin and this story is no different. The way in which he describes every scene, every event, every emotion is for lack of a better word, brilliant. I thoroughly enjoy reading his cleverly thought-out writing and I highly recommend that you find the time to read some of his work also. Incredibly interesting plots; truly, and without question a master at writing short stories.   One such story is called Near Death. It centres on a famous male musician who experiences a strange, spiritual phenomenon. It is a sequel to In a Grove, and is followed by 3 short stories titled Nothing but the Truth, Ichthys and Deus Ex Narnia.  The first few sentences of Near Death are just a small example of his amazing, raw talent as a writer: 'For one second, I drift away. A kaleidoscope of memories gushes into my mind. Fragments of my life pierce my brain from the inside, like sparkling, colored glass shard...

Review of Victoria Quinn's The Elements of Horror.

First of all, brilliantly written and unlike anything I have read before. I happened upon this by accident and I was thoroughly glad I did. It was love at first sentence! The twists and turns I wasn't expecting took me into the darkest caverns of her mind and kept me there for some time. The emotions I felt for the characters and outcomes - the way Victoria so intricately painted a picture I was too scared to look at, and yet, I could not look away. She truly is a master wordsmith and an impressive artist. My only criticism is that she has only written five chapters and I am desperately awaiting more. Victoria, if you read this, I am chomping at the bit for more of your remarkable writing. If you want to experience the same joy I did reading her work - horror fans especially - then please click the link below. I am certain that you will not be disappointed! In fact, I am going to head over to her page and read it again! https://www.booksie.com/posting/victoria-quinn/th...

This blog will be mostly for my writing and reviews of other people that I find on the internet. I will be making an effort to review one person's work each day.
