A short story titled When Muses Die by Oleg Roschin
I am never left feeling disappointed with any writing by Oleg Roschin and this story is no different.
The way in which he describes every scene, every event, every emotion is for lack of a better word, brilliant. I thoroughly enjoy reading his cleverly thought-out writing and I highly recommend that you find the time to read some of his work also. Incredibly interesting plots; truly, and without question a master at writing short stories.
One such story is called Near Death. It centres on a famous male musician who experiences a strange, spiritual phenomenon. It is a sequel to In a Grove, and is followed by 3 short stories titled Nothing but the Truth, Ichthys and Deus Ex Narnia.
The first few sentences of Near Death are just a small example of his amazing, raw talent as a writer:
'For one second, I drift away.
A kaleidoscope of memories gushes into my mind. Fragments of my life pierce my brain from the inside, like sparkling, colored glass shards. I feel that my heart is an old, decrepit train that has finally come to a screeching halt.
Thundering applause propels me back into reality.
I open my eyes.'
